RM’s indoor track season ended with the Maryland State Championship for 4A schools on February 20.  RM had three athletes competing, and all performed extremely well.  Sophomore Garrett Suhr placed 1st in the 1600m with a time of 4:21.47.  Later in the evening, he came back and placed a very close 2nd in the 800m with a time of 1:58.09. Senior Starr Stover cleared a personal best height of 5-4 in the high jump, which placed her 3rd in the competition. Senior Joachim El-Masry placed 9th in the 1600m. His time of 4:33.11 was a four-second personal record.

Suhr will go on to compete in the Emerging Elite Mile competition at the New Balance Nationals Indoor Championship in New York City on Saturday, March 10.
